Top-ups and auto-recharge
How the prepaid balance works on pay as you go.
The balance and the ledger
On pay as you go, every ping draws $0.010 from your prepaid balance. The ledger under Settings → Plan records every movement: each top-up, each auto-recharge, and usage, so the balance is never a mystery.
- Opening top-up: $20 minimum, taken at signup. It funds the balance that screening draws from.
- Later top-ups: $5 minimum, any time, from Settings → Plan.
- Auto-recharge (optional): when the balance falls below $5, we charge your saved card $20 automatically. Turn it on or off any time.
Alerts never block
A low or empty balance triggers alerts, not outages. Screening keeps answering; the fail-open design means a billing state never blocks a genuine caller. Top up when the alert lands and the ledger squares itself.
Updating the saved card
Auto-recharge charges the card from your most recent top-up. To switch cards, make a new top-up ($5 minimum) with the new card; auto-recharge follows it from then on.
